I have a question about duplicate content that came up obliquely in another thread, but really was off topic to that thread, so here it is. My question is if I write an original article and submit it to a large number of directories, will it be viewed as duplicate content? Thanks to Ganceann for his response (see below), but that leads me to wondering if I should develop several permutations of the article before submitting? I can see how some variation would be beneficial over the long haul, but it seems untenable to 'spin' 100+ derivatives of one article. What are others doing? Thanks to all, ~ Kat Here's what Ganceann wrote earlier: "It is in the best interests of website promoters to actual vary their articles and produce deritives so that they can focus on more key phrases. Then if the articles get picked up as syndicated content the cumulative affect is several keywords and phrases spread throughout many different article sites and all of the keywords/phrases will at least have 1 original article referencing them + have syndicated content that may keep the links live or they may not etc"
Thanks, Alonso. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any good software that will help automate this process for me? Article Bot? Article Spinner? Others? I've heard of these before but know nothing about them. ~ Kat
Yes i know some of them, but sorry i forgot them. Here is how they work: - they will add your random general text in top, middle, and bottom of the article. - they will search synonim word and replace some of them But still, when human read the article it's a bit odd
Thanks nicecoder. I've spend some time today checking out some of these demos, and you're right, when you read them they sound odd at best (and at worst, pretty mashed). I've concluded that there are just too many nuances to the meaning of a single word to be able to automate the process. At best I see these scripts as being idea-generators, but they certainly don't generate articles that are even close to being ready to publish... at least as far as I can tell right now. -Kat
