Yes its true .. backlinks from other niche sites is not worth
And blog commenting is indeed a slow process ..
Some say its useful.. some say not that much ..
In the world of SEO nothing is 100% sure and certain :)

okay, so if the blogs are related to your niche, then you are doing it right, you should also check if the blogs are dofollows before you comment, this way you don't waste your time on a nofollow site, 10 comments per day is 300 links per month, that's very good, but i am assuming that you keep looking for new blogs and that you are not commenting on the same blogs 10 times per day.

It doesn't matter whether it's dofollow or nofollow, a link is a link. Comment as often as you feel necessary to rank for your term. If you're on page 2 for the term with only 20 links, doing 50 a day is probably not needed.

ya I too find the same. You should not take care of do-follow and no- follow. All links helps in SEO.

A link is a link. Relevant will give more weight to your backlink value. Not relevant is still gives value to your backlink but compare to relevant sites, it is not that much.

Comment on dofollow blogs, will help you in google as google don't give credit either in pagerank or serp ranking from nofollow link.

But, nofollow link helps in other search engine than google, like yahoo, bing, etc.

Also, don't get all your links from only 10 sites. Concentrate on multiple sites. Getting a backlink from unique domain and unique c-class IP will help a lot too.

I've always thought you should mix a few non-relevant and nofollow links to make more "natural" looking backlinks.

Also, I personally would say to spend time on some other link building strategies - eg ezine or goarticles article submission, squidoo, social bookmarking, press releases etc.

I don't agree.. nofollow blogs are not crawled by search engines and hence they don't provide organic traffic to your website... so try to post on do follow only.. :p

Ya that is true, but you are giving 5-10 votes daily to your site, that is good. However, if you can make it as 20-30 per day, that will be fine, As well as, if you can use some other forums, article submission directories and all to get daily backlinks, that is really helpful.
