    Hi experts,

Should I promote a product that collect emails so that the owner can send his autoresponse to those emails for his own benefits?

In other words does the sale generate from the email collected (through my effort) go to me?

Online business is a little more shady than you think.. You should probably collect your own email list building.. get his stuff and send it out yourself to avoid any problem with any leads.

Bro this may or may not be good for you.

Not good, if the vendor collects emails and sends emails with links to paypal / ishoppingcart / other checkout pages or even another similar site altogether. I've seen many vendors doing this.

Good, if the vendor doesn't do the above shady stuff and follows up nicely with the potential buyer so that if sale happens in the next few days, it is tracked to your affiliate id.

You can subscribe to the vendor's emails often to test what he's doing... but if it isn't a very popular product amongst affiliates, the vendor's less likely to get caught with his shady stuff.

You should test to see if it works. Sign up for his email list and test out your cookie.

many visitors to the site may decide not to buy at the first visit. therefore, having an opt in and then "re-selling" the product via emails enhances the chances of conversions. but yes, there are shady practices in place by some vendors, so like SEOSharpShooter says, best you opt in to the list as well and make sure that the vendor behaves.

fyi a lot of my sites have opt-ins and imho, that's one of the best ways to increase sales for the affiliates and vendors.

    thanks.
