Just focus on the "needs" that you think your market segment may have. Once you have been able to write "valuable material", people would naturally like to know more about you and what other things you have to say. have a nice day.

Title is everything. And the title should contain target keyword. Once your article ranks higher in google, you will get plenty of readers.

A catchy title and an interesting introduction is the key.

Split longer articles into two parts. Post the first part on the article directory and tell readers that the rest can be read on your website.

Make sure that both parts of the article are interesting and useful.

Title is important, because it's the "hook" or element that captures your visitor's attention. If you want them to keep reading, though, you have to work on a whole lot more than title.

Be sure you start your article with a statement that summarizes what the article is about.

Use active verbs when possible instead of passive.

Get your reader involved in your content. I favor writing to the reader. Rather than say "Our clients like" I would say "You'll like".

Keep sentences that start with "I" to a minimum.

If you find yourself repeating a word several times, get a thesaurus and find some different words to use.

Create an interesting read by providing your reader with useful information on the topic. Deliver a partial package of info and at the last part of the article encourage them to click on a link.

Apply sales copy techniques writing on any topic but in a context that rises polemic, expectations, intrigue or a motivation to continue reading on your article.

Give them just enough information to become interested, but don't completely solve the problem they're looking for (in other words tease them). Instead, direct them to your website to get more information.

Stand out and be different when you are writing the article. Write it with passion. People know when you are into something and when you aren't by the way you are writing.

Break down the sentences. Don't use very long ones unless you can pull their attention in all of the way.

Act confident while you are writing. Don't throw in words just to make it reach a certain point and rumble on.

Interact with other members in the community if you are posting at places like ezine, or blogging sites. Go and leave good comments on theirs and get to know people.

Buy some books online or either read some free ebooks that can teach you how to write. There are a lot of PLR articles that might help you get some further ideas.

    Good luck,
    Kari

Give them an incentive to click on the link. That could be the second part of your article, a related article, a video or a free report.
