Hi, Thanks in advance. When finding a keyword and using the tool you want a word with lots of searches but little competing bids, correct? Would is show its not a good choice?
No. The competition needs to be medium/high in Google Keywords Tool. Low means not as many advertisers. The CPC isn't necessarily what you're going to get. Sure, a lot of searches is nice, but these are usually harder to rank for, so at first it can be better to rank for keywords with less searches and then expand to tougher ones as your site gains more authority.
I compare the number of monthly researches of the keyword with the number of competitors. To find the nb of the websites competitors I pu the keyword in quotes and make a research in Google. if the result is more then 60.000 results that means that the keyword is hight competing and it will be difficult to rank for it. I read once in a blog that the number of monthly research should be more the 3.000 because if it is less there will be no much traffic for your site.
