    Hello

I run a mens clothing website. i would like to hear some ideas on increasing conversion rates. given that we receive around 300 visits a day, our conversation to sale rate is not what it should be.

the site looks professional, works well, is kept up to date and secure payments are handled by google. i would appreciate any suggestions you may have to improve what is already there :)

    thanks

    Matt

The first thing I noticed is that you're not collecting email addreses. It's a fact that people respond after seeing an offer 6-10 times. In your case you're going to need to promote your business rather than a specific offer. Once they receive email from you 6-10 times they're going to sit up and take notice.

Get an autoresponder account and start collecting email addresses then send them either important information about clothing or send them online special sale offers. If you'd like more personal help with this pm me.

First of all get more traffic, I find higher legitimate traffic leads to higher conversion rates. Second your site takes quite a awhile to load for me, this could just be because I am in the US though. Finally the red border around each of the clothes detracts from the overall feel and makes me less likely to buy something.

thanks very much for your feedback. in response to wealthdealer, we have run many email campaigns and i find them to be ridiculously ineffective. we also collected email addresses by offering the chance to win £50 of clothes. this also didnt work.

in response to melogknaj, thanks for the feedback on the border. i might look at toning it down - people have said there's too much orange and this could indeed be a factor in lack of sales.

Did you use an expert to run your email campaigns? If so, you need to find a new expert.

it was all my own work. i work in internet design and marketing so ironically probably shouldn't even be asking these questions.

however, i will admit that the emails sent out could have possibly been slightly improved. i am aware what makes a good offer, i can present it and i can provide GOOD call to actions, but response seems thin even on REALLY good offers.
