When do you start hitting the unsubscribe button? When you receive 1 email per day? 1 per week? 1 per quarter? I am also having a problem with this issue too.
It all depends on the freshness of the content and the relevancy to me. A daily newsletter would be a huge task to ensure the information is accurate, well researched, well written and well presented. Not many people can manage that.
hm.. me and my cuz run a Proxy Group, and we send like 2 - 3 mails a week (always with new proxies ofcourse) , and we think its enough. but our mails arent useless though, we provide our members new proxies in every mail, thats why they dont unsubscribe, but we dont send 2 mails in a row , like first mail , then after 2 - 3 days , another mail... for reference : http://groups.yahoo.com/group/topproxies
I would not like to receive a newsletter everyday. Maybe every two weeks or so, or whenever you do major updates.
For me it depends on how dinamic is the market that a specific newsletter covers, for sports news/services, I expect it to come more frequent, daily or weekly, for sports industry analyses, monthly or quarterly.
