question: how do you make money from a website

I'm very new to this and I'd lik eto understand how do you make money from a website?

from what I observed,, theres straight pay to advertize on a site. then I see this affiliate adds, ex: you go on a site and you click something then a poker add pops up. plus others like hers a site join now, and if people join then you get a % from that,,, but you'd think most people wont join after clicking from your site to their site,, they'll go back another without going through your site and then join,,, so I take it in that senario you dont get any %

I just looking for some insite cause like I said , i'm very new to this whole thing,, but would like to learn and understand it more,

Hmm, do you have a idea what kind of site you want to make or already have?

 

I had the idea of either starting a tube site or a idea relating to travel and tourism

but form what i've been observing is that straight pay to advertise of become less and less ,,, unless you are a big fish website,, but as a small fish website how do you gain money what are all the different possibilities ?

Well of course you need to focus on building traffic then the rest will all fall into place.

You make money from a website like you would make money in real life. You either sell a produce, a service, or with advertisements. I guess their is a fourth way which is begging for money but that doesn't happen as often.

Well, to earn revenue online, content is king, product people want is king, you need a base - You need content - You need product - Don't just try and jump into the whole thing without doing research and having a plan on want you want. If you jump into things without knowing what you're doing, you'll just fail and waste your money..
