Question From Vendor To Affiliates: Landing Pages - Should I Make Them?

    Hey everybody,

Well, I have a couple products out and they are getting a pretty good amount of sales from multiple affiliates.

    But...

I want more. I always here about affiliates using landing pages, and I have seen affiliates ask vendors for landing pages here on the forum. But I have also checked many of the affiliate pages of successful vendors and not very many of them provide landing pages.

    So, here's my question:

I could easily make some landing pages and post them to my affiliate page. My question is, how many affiliates will actually make use of these? How many affiliates will know how to host these landing pages?

If a large majority of affiliates do have the knowledge of how to take a landing page and host in on their own domain, how do I provide it.

I mean I am pretty sure I know how... wouldn't I just need to create the landing page, save it as a .html. And also provide all of the image files that are on the page?

Then the affiliates would download the .html and files and be able to easily host it themselves, right?

I think that covers all of my questions. All feedback is appreciated.
    Thanks guys!:)

If you host the images on your site you could just offer an HTML file download that would include image links to your hosted ones. That's usually what I see being done on most affiliate pages that offer pre-made landing pages.

I have almost identical affiliate pages for my product but I don't find people use them.. honestly I think people like to do their own thing. One should be enough for them if they ASK for more than maybe give them more.

I think it's important you offer your affiliates both branded and unbranded versions.

Sometimes that same continuity takes all credibility away i.e the customer might think "This is a review? It looks like the same site though?" < If you're going to use/make branded pre-sell that has your continuity built in, make sure you instruct your affiliates on how to use them properly otherwise they won't be fooling anybody.

I find that affiliates who use my branded ones tend to blend the tease well as if it WAS coming from us, giving even more detail on an aspect than the main sales page does, or doing a proper FAQ, or outlining just the absolute best features and a banner but softsell it instead of aggressively getting them to click. USE the branding to your advantage instead of just using it because that's all you can get or have access to and want to do a review or sound like an unbiased third party (an unbiased third party would have his/her own site not a mock of the main page - right?).

Also advise your aff's to get (or give them) a few wordpress themes if you can, customized to your niche (or point them to the free ones that are relevant to your niche). and link them to tutorials or provide guides on how to easily set them up (or offer to do it for them if you have time).

Lately I'm really enjoying helping my aff's one to one, and just taking control of their page/rewriting it, and letting them tweak from there - which I would applaud any vendor do that's trying to create, train, and retain long term promoters. If you can tweak their campaigns for them to make you more money, why not (or outsource that part - but personally I like it because nobody is going to be able to sell my product better than me, hence nobody will warm up a customer better than me either - with the few exceptions of course. but imagine most of your top aff's using your continuity of knowledge on their pre-sell vs. testing on their own... you grow much faster and or test down to your final/best converters much faster). After a while literally giving 10 minutes to an affiliates campaign can double their returns hence your earnings x as many aff's as you can do this for...
