    Hey guys,

I have a free eBook I'm offering on my website, but people have to signup through my email list to get it.

Would it be bad forum etiquette to offer my free eBook in the freebie threads, but require people from the forum to opt-in to my list to get it?

It's an eBook about how to write an eBook, which I did to make over $200k last year, so I think it would be definitely worth it. Great response on my site already (1000+ signups in 2 weeks). Let me know what you all think. I appreciate it!

No, it's not the same as affiliates. If you want people to signup to your own email list to get a freebie, that's allowed. You just can't post freebies where you're being compensated through an affiliate program, surveys / CPA ad networks, paid file sharing sites, etc.
