Question for UK members - does the halifax cash US checks?

    This may sound a stupid question but I just wanted to ask if the halifax cash US checks?

    Just I have some checks coming soon at the end of the month from the US and wantedto know if they can be cashed ok?

    I got payed by a US $ cheque one time, I eventually got it cashed in the UK but they took a load of commission out of it because it was in dollars.

    So best check with Halifax beforehand.

    If they are charging too much, try some of the smaller independent cheque cashing stores
