I was thinking about starting an article directory as my next project but am not sure where to start. What website scripts are available? Where would one get the initial content for the site? Is there a place to get a bunch of articles to start or would I have to manually input them in a site myself? Any other suggestions would be good too. Thanks
It's a very saturated market to make any kind of profit or gain much benefit from these kinds of websites. If you have to ask these questions then you might struggle against the directories which know their stuff. Ezine directories provides articles which are re-distributable. You can also sign-up to many feeds and newswires which contain articles. Ideally you'll want to make your directory into an authority site so people come to you as a priority place to get their articles on the web. This will take a lot of time, effort and marketing though. Hope this helps.
