Question for those that saw 300

I was talking with a friend who went to see 300 and he was commenting on the parents that brought their kids in to the theater to see the movie with them. I remember the same thing when going to see movies like Blade II back when I was still willing to go to the movie theater....kids aged 3-8 watching a ultra-violent action/horror flick.

So, how many kids did you see parents drag in to see 300 with them?

edit: just for clarity's sake...let's call the definition of young kids as 10 and under.

From the trailers I suggest not to bring kids to it, haven't seen it yet.
But as far as the trailer goes... looks like alot of action and blood.

Uh, DO NOT bring kids with you to this one... Flying body parts, gore, inappropiate scenes..... ... Over 14 I'd say......

Ratings Schmatings. It all depends on the kid. My little brother has seen Hostel, Wolf Creek, Saw, and countless other horrors and he's 8. He knows it's all fake and so he's not scared of them, and gore doesn't make him feel sick.

don't get me wrong, im okay with violent films. but
it could also be that watching gory films have a desensitizing effect on kids, and on just about anyone.

repeated exposure can make anyone immune to it.

When I went to see it it was generally all older teenagers and twenty-somethings.

Don't recall seeing any young kids.

Why are parents taking the kids to see violence anyway?

I've seen the trailer of that movie and I liked it. I think I'm also going to watch it this weekend. :D

There's a pretty explicit love making scene too. This kid sitting in front of me, about 10 years old, pulled his baseball cap over his eyes and kept peekink, waiting for it to be over :)
