The trinity was indeed invented after Jesus. And all over the new and old testament you will see Jesus preaching to worship 1 God, and there is no direct mention of him saying "i'm God", ever. This was his real message distored for centuries. But I take it that you are not a Christian, then what is your religion? SP
It is true that Jesus preached that you should worship 1 God and no other. Why would he then allow people to worship him as God then if he was not God? When they did this, he did not come out and say stop worshiping me, because I am not God. And why would he say that every knee shall bow to him to worship if he was not God.
Those are additions to the message of Jesus. The fact that Jesus (according to Christians) sought help God on the cross should indicate that he could not have been God. It all comes down how you interpret the bible, this is why there are people (sect) who follow the bible and reject the trinity. And ofcourse which bible you are following, because they differ over what the bible is. Anyway, when Jesus was called "good" he said: ‘Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone. (From the NIV Bible, Mark 10:18)â€" So, he did not like someone calling him good, so what about calling him God?.. It is obvious that Jesus did not allow anyone to worship him, he did not approve it, he did not call for it, and those instances you see in the bible are additions to his message, they are "according to", "according to", according to", according to who? According to Mark, Luke & John, men with no last names. If they are not additions then why is he rejecting being called "good"? SP
He did not say he did not like being called good. He was asking the Pharisees why they were calling him good if they did not believe he was good. The Pharisees were asking him questions just to try to slip him up. No where did he say that he was not good.
He said "only" God is good, which negates everyone else from being good including himself. I think it's clear. And if he is the God that is "good", we need to see where he referred to himself as God, which is nowhere to be found in the bible. SP
John 1:1 says that “the Word was God.†John 1:14 says that “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us†This clearly indicates that Jesus is God in the flesh. Acts 20:28 tells us, "...Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood." Who bought the church with His own blood? Jesus Christ. Acts 20:28 declares that God purchased the church with His own blood. Therefore, Jesus is God!
Edenist, the same religion as the others: Judaism, Christianity and Islam but simply mankind is expelled by the Creator and must acquire remittance by the individual and at the day of Judgement the society as a whole before reentry to the Outerworld of the Everlasting is possible.
It is called modesty. They were men who witnessed and documented the life of Christ and just like Mohammed they have no last name. Either they were referred as sons of their fathers or where they came from.
Oh come on, If Jesus was God he would have said so at least once, which he didn't, nothing to do with modesty. Name 1 man that the Muslims take from who has no last name. It's not Jesus speaking here, it's John, the man with no last name. Where in the world is it acceptable to take from a man with no last name? not acceptable. So, we have 2 problems here: 1. This is not Jesus speaking (and you will NEVER find him saying "I'm God" in the bible) 2. John is not Jesus, and he has no last name, making him unreliable, it's clear he was of those who contributed to the distortion of the Gospel of Jesus. And can you tell me who is speaking in Acts 20:28? Regards SP
So you want to disregard some one's witness account just because they didn't write some one's last name in the bible? What was Jesus last name?
Man... I wasn't there and I don't believe anyone survived In any case... if you were to find any survivor, ask him! Issue closed due to lack of survivors!!
Why was Jesus crucified then? The answer is that he was crucified because of who he said he was. Jesus claimed to be God on multiple occasions. Jesus was fully man and fully God at the same time. Here are a couple of versus to back it up in case you are wondering: John 10:30 "I and the Father are one."
What does knowing John's last name have anything to do with his qualifications to write about Jesus? First off, lets get the last name thing out of the way. People during this era didn't often have last names. Generally if you were speaking about someone and wanted to be specific you would say "Joseph, son of Isaac" or something similar. Jesus Christ was not referred with a last name. Technically, "Jesus the Christ" is more appropriate. Christ was another name for Messiah or anointed one which is a description of who he is, not a last name. So what was Jesus' last name? He was probably known as a young boy as "Jesus, son of Joseph" which was technically incorrect since Joseph was not his biological father, the Holy Spirit was. But anyhow, I'm just trying to point out that John had credibility to write about Jesus. Also, we do know where John came from, he was the son of Zebedee which was a fisherman. We also know that John was handpicked and a close friend of Jesus' even accepted by Historians. We even know based on History that John believed so much in what he wrote that he was attempted to be killed by being boiled alive. Then later, spent the last several years of his life on the island of Patmos (also where he wrote the book of Revelation) for the sake of the gospel that he was passionate about sharing. He believed so much in it that he was tortured for it and never turned away from it. Would you do that for something you didn't truly believe in? The twelve disciples including Matthew, Mark, and Luke (the other 3 writers of the four books of the gospel) did. Just something to think about.
It's simply not acceptable to take knowledge from a man with no lastname. Jesus is known as "Isaa ibn Maryam" or "Jesus the son of Mary", because he had no father, he takes his mother as a last name. it's not acceptable to not have 1 single quote from Jesus where he says "Im God", but you have a man with no last name claiming that Jesus is God. No , issue is not closed, if you have no answer, be brave enough to remain silent. Jesus was crucified according to Christians (but that really did not happen). He did not get crucified because he said he is "God", I challenge you to quote me 1 single verse where he made that claim. Regarding John 10:30, then we need to ask the question; what does he mean by "one"?, one in what? does it mean that they are one in that they both can see & hear , or one in divinity, it's not clear when taken out of context. However, if you read it in context you will it's referring to something else. Let me know if you need help with that, I will get you the context and show you he did not mean "one" in divinity. Jesus was known as "Jesus son of Mary", or "Jesus the Messiah" etc, he did not have a father to take a last name from, so he can take his mothers, and the titles given to him by God. Even if you had John's last name and full biography, it's not convincing that Jesus never claims to be God, but someone else does so on his behalf, this should ring alarm bells. This is my whole point, we see Jesus never claiming to be God, but we see other people making those claims for him, now if you want to believe in that that's up to you, but when God asks you on the day of judgment why you worshiped Jesus, you will say "because John told me" and that is a bad excuse.
Despite the fact that I disagree with you, why do you consider in unacceptable? Also, why do you accept that Jesus is known as "Jesus the son of Mary" when John could clearly take on the same form of a name, "John, the son of Zebedee"? Instead, he takes on a different title, "John, the disciple whom Jesus loved". This was a title so that we could understand who wrote the book of John but also reaffirming his close relationship to Jesus. It is a name of endearment for Jesus which is why that book was written explaining who Jesus was and is. How did he die then? EDIT: after some reading I realize this is a Muslim viewpoint, which is something the strays far away from what the Bible teaches. Actually, I think this is a question for you. I am pretty confident in what I think it means. What do you think it means? Yes, lets look at the context and what is occurring in the text. I think it will only solidify the point behind my original post. Jesus in verses 22 - 24 is approached by Pharisees (Jewish leaders) and essentially they are asking, If you are God, why don't you tell us plainly? Jesus responds in 25 - 30 essentially saying, I have told not only with my mouth but with my actions. I've performed miracles, I have stated I'm hear to give eternal life (btw, who could do that except God?) and God has given me people that can not be taken out of my hand or my Father's hand, we are one. (hence the verse provided). Let's be clear about this, I think it is best just referenced than me paraphrasing like above: We obviously know that Jesus escaped this stoning and was later crucified at the hands of the Pharisees as recorded in John 18 - 19. In John 18, you can see that Pilate asked Jesus the question, "Are you the King of Jews?". This essentially means, "Are you the one who was prophesied about by the Prophets (Old Testament)?" You can also see that Jesus never denies it to Pilate (or he would have lived according to Jewish law because even Pilate recognized that the only crime he would have committed would have been this statement, not that of anything Jesus had physically done). Question: Have you heard the other names for Jesus: Prince of Peace and Wonderful Counselor. Would you say that Jesus of the bible (not according to Muslim views) represents these names and that they are fair names that the bible supports for Jesus?
There is a war of information going on in our world, we are all looking for truth, we need to know people's last names and biographies before we take anything from them, so for me it's unacceptable, for you it might be different. But fair enough if you say you know John's last name, I'll take your word for it. I accept Jesus's last name as "son of mary" because for the obvious reason that he had no father. But I hope you understand my big point, which is not the "last name" issue, but the fact that someone is claiming Jesus to be God and you totally believe in that. To put it short, it was not him on the cross, it was someone (i think) who volunteered to be crucified, God made him look like he was Jesus, and Jesus was raised up, he never died till this day, and he will be back on earth to complete his life as a Muslim & also killing the anti-christ. If you just go back 1 verse: 29My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30I and my Father are one. What do we have here, Jesus at one point says that the Father is greater than all!!!??? Then he says my father and I are one!!!??? Contradiction!!!??? That alone shows you that when he said we are "one" he does not mean divinity, since he has declared the Father to be greater than all. So what does it mean? It means that they are "one" in the sense that his followers will not be plucked out of his hand, those who were following Jesus won't be plucked away nor those who are following God, because following Jesus IS following God. Okay, you also mentioned that the Jews asked if he was God, but the passage in King James says "Christ" not God. You also asked who could give eternal life except God? God is the only one, but is Jesus necessarily saying that he is the one who will give them the eternal life, no, rather what he means is that he is giving them his message and whoever follows it gets eternal life. John 5:30 "I can of mine own self do NOTHING.....I seek not my own will but the will of Him who sent me." The miracles that you see from Jesus also do not prove he is God, because prophets were given miracles, just like Moses when he split the sea, it all happens "by the will of God". I take everything that is found in the Quran & Authentic Narrations of the Prophet Muhammed (Peace be Upon Him), so if it is found there, then yes, if not, then no, I only use the bible sometimes against Christians, because the bible itself indicated Jesus was never God. Jesus was sent to a specific nation; the lost sheep of Israel, not to the whole of mankind. And besides, those who followed him, must give up his teachings because they are abrogated by God with the Quran & Authentic Narrations of the Prophet Muhammed (Peace Upon him). Just like when the Jews had to give up the teachings of Moses, it's all very simple, man makes it complicated.
My friend its the body of Jesus which died and not soul soul remains a live forever and ever its your misunderstanding that Jesus died but every gods body will die as he has taken human being's birth... hope you got it...
So your theory is that god, the creator of the Universe, is a cheap con artist? You mean like these?
