so not all the Atheists deny supernatural totally as I got you post. hence Atheists have to see ghost and other supernatural separate of God? heard Atheist is base on knowledge and science and saw some scientific reports about proving ghost existence. last month I saw a report in France 24 about a heart clinic in London that collected some evidence of life after dead from patients who died for a while and back to life. what's your opinion?
I think it's possible for an atheist to believe in the supernatural, considering that atheism is only defined as a "disbelief in a deity." So, technically, as long as they don't believe in a deity, they could still be classified as an atheist, *I think*. In regards to the soul, one way in which it's defined is "a person's emotional or moral nature" by The Free Dictionary. So, I suppose you could be an atheist that believes in the soul with that type of definition. If you still have that report from the heart clinic in London, I would be interested in reading it. Yes, actually, I do believe that people have had "life after death experiences", but don't really know what to make of it, or consider it as proof of the existence of a deity. Babak, what do you think? Do you believe in ghosts? Life after death experiences?
thanks for you descriptions Rebecca as a Muslim have to believe resurrection and soul. I saw a hypnotized guy (a friend) who return back to time before his born and claimed as another person and also participated in some gathering to summon the sprites. I'm sure no trick on them but can't describe and understand what was it.

I've heard that, although of the three people I know with the condition, and one I used to know, it's actually insanely hard to get them to change any preconceived notions about anything - I once said "I watch (some TV show) religiously" and they believed this meant something else and was insulting to God.... It was really quite awkward. Also, from what I've observed, it seems that they aren't so much intelligent as have the ability to memorize large amounts of data - which is why they frequently get higher grades in school; they know the answers but have trouble actually thinking - for example I know many struggle terribly with any form of creative writing. Who knows >.<'
As a Muslim, what is resurrection? Is it that you believe in a temporary death, then, be brought back to life at a later date? How would you define soul? I don't know what to think about past life stories, but I do believe hypnosis can tap into your unconscious mind. Law enforcement have used hypnosis with traumatized victims of crime to get them to recall details. LOL.
Atheist are those kind of people who believes they know every mystery of the nature and their isn't any divine power behind it. I won't agree or disagree with it. But, what do a sensible man think? I know you got the answer.
The idea of God in most religions is defined as almighty, controlling entity which is very different than supernatural phenomena (things which can not be explained with our present knowledge). I am an Atheist but I am open to possibility that there can be some form of continuation of the energy which we call life and I do not mean heaven and hell concept. If you look at old threads in this forum, you can find a thread about my travel to different places which were considered haunted and people have experienced "ghost" presence and staying the nights in many of those places. Unfortunately I never succeeded to meet any of those ghosts.
Well some time back one of neighbors was found dead in a forest with a camera in his hand a few feet away from the temple. When the film roll was developed the last shot taken around the time of his death was of the Hindu Monkey god, newspapers went crazy and almost the entire country still worships that photograph. It's not enough to convince me of the existence of monkey god which suddenly striked that guy dead (postmortem was inconclusive) but its one of those things which can't be explained. My guess is that it was a set up to cover murder but who knows. Just like all those haunted stories are there only to prevent people from visiting certain places where supposedly criminal activities take place.
Resurrection in Islam is as you described. we will die then accoding to God willing we shall alive again in material type. our identity is our soul and our soul was from Allah so is imortal.
