I don't care who used it first, I wasn't commenting on that - only stated that I was slightly amused before getting on with the fest of my post.

You "tryed" to help me not be amused? Why? Being amused is a good thing. I still think it is slightly amusing.

Superstitions have influenced mankind since the dawn of recorded history. It is only now that we know that these superstitions are not true, and that we are indeed very much in control of our own destiny. To deny science is to deny all of its benefits. To deny evolution is to deny that diseases can evolve, and change. To deny the cosmos as a "picture in the sky" is to deny space-travel. Denialists are all around, and yet because they are in such a majority, they think they are the sane ones.

~ Atheist seem to differentiate their denials of immortality from the Clergies digressions from facts to fantasy that are in fact two sides of the same coin....science and religion are coincidental for an individual in finding redemption or in reaching a desired end.

Religion hampers science and denies its existence. Need I bring up all those persecuted for challenging the status quo?

Most Religion has never had a positive influence on the forward movement of man. By most, I mean in terms of population, I.E. the 'Western' religions (Judaism, Christianity, and of course Islam). Hell, to suggest that mankind evolved from higher apes can get you stoned to death in some places.

    Even if it is true.

I stand by what I said. Denialists surround, and because they are in a majority, they think they are the sane ones. Even if one atheist who accepts evolution and science as being fact (since it is) is left in the world filled with zealots, it does not mean he is less right.
