I was going thru my PM box and received a message from someone saying:

I was just curious to know after looking at this link and seeing that it shows a referral link, this does follow under the no affiliate/refferal rule?

is a you tube video link, they all look like that, its not a referral link.
however, if you feel you have been spammed, forward it to a moderator.

 

Yes, I understand that is not a referral/affiliate link directly but in that video it shows (I removed the link) which is a ref/aff link....so isnt it kinda like a back door around it?

 

could be could be, edit the http://www. outa your post and forward it to a mod and see what they say.

If they set up the thread and / or PM specifically to promote an affiliate program, it's against the rules - no matter how they try to spin in or hide it. Forward it to a mod.
