Question for Adsense users in England

    Hi guys,

I've recently got an Adsense account and am already making money, but my major question is this:

When I get sent the payment, I'm assuming it's a cheque. Anyway, do they send you the cheque in dollars ($) or GBP (£).

Just because surely the bank take a big commission when they cash the cheque if it's in $s.

    Anyway, thanks in advance.
    Rep will be given.
    Simon

You have the choice of currency, you can get paid in pounds.

You also use EFT (Electronic Funds Transfert) which puts money right in your account, no cheques necessary.

Hi, thanks for the advice. How do I go about doing this, and when does it give me the option to change it into pounds??? Thanks.

When I got paid by cheques I got USD, but switched to EFT (bank charged for depositing them) and it now gets deposited in GBP at 'the prevailing exchange rate'. EFT is much easier and it stops your bank charging.

Hi atingle, thanks for the advice. How do you change to EFT and what exactly does it entail? I'd prefer to just be able to change the currency into GBP as then when I withdraw I know exactly how much the bank took off ;)

    Hi Simon,

Use Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), this way the money will be put directly into your account in Sterling. To check this, you need to go into your Adsense account and look at your payment history. Click on a particular payment and you will know the exchange rate Google used to calculate your payment into Sterling (£). HOpe it helps. It saves me soo much time and I know that I'm being paid. Seriously do this and you'll be sorted!

Any questions just shout...if it helps then feel free to rep me.

    Cheers
    Zaheer

What I need is my cheque to be in Sterling, not know what the conversion rate used was. Does the EFT do that, so that the cheque I received will be, for instance, £50 instead of $100???

Im in england and I receive cheques in pounds. The exchange rate used is the prevailing rate for the day of the payment. It quite simple.....

On payment day, see what your payment is and convert it at the current exchange rate.... you cheque will be for that amount. dollars2pounds.com

the EFT method automatically converts US$ to Canadian $ so I am sure that it would probaly work the same for a British bank

There is an option in your adsense account based on what currency you want to receice.

    My Account >>> Payment Details

Edit the currency USD into GBP.

I had one of my cheques converted into GBP before, it costs me £20 for the conversion fee.
