Question: Can anything wrong happen in my account if I use personal payments often?

Well, I do admit that I am selling online then asking my customers to send it as personal payment. I read that Paypal is against it, but I am just getting small amounts here, sometimes only cents, that's why I opted not to use the payment option wherein fees would apply. However, I've been told my account would be at risk if I keep on doing this. Note: Not all of my transactions has no fees. I accept international payments as well, which takes a fee of around $0.50 or so per transaction.

So I want to ask, will they limit my account because of this?

No, PayPal won't limit your account if you receive small amounts.

They get limited, only when PayPal finds suspicious activity or you violate PayPal's User Agreement.
