Question about youtube and musics.

    Hi everyone.
    My question is the following. If I want to make a video to upload it on youtube, and I want to use a music (for example from vevo), can I do it? It is used for non-profit. If so, should I put something like this in the video description: "I do not own any of the audio material used in this video. All audio soundtrack is used for non-profit and is property of the Sony Music Entertainment." ?

    I am sorry to inform you that you do not have a right to use someone else's music (their copyright work) on your video even with a disclaimer.

    You either need to get their permission prior to using the music or face the risk of being liable for your actions.

    When you want to use already recorded music (not play the song yourself) you go to ASCAP. In the US, they are the group that licenses a lot of music - although there are other groups as well. You can find their page on Internet licensing here:
