Question About Yahoo's Indexing of my site...

Greetings. I didn't see this topic anywhere else, so please forgive if this has already been brought up.

I regularly check Yahoo and Google for my rankings among them on certain keywords. Over the last few months, I've noticed 99% of all yahoo's listings for me have:
    • Dropped, substantially
    • are always the archived version, even the new topics

Can anyone explain this? I do well in Google. Very well. But Yahoo! seems to have pretty much given me the giant finger. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Ki

Maybe there is more competition in yahoo for the keywords you are targeting, your
rankings will probably return if you continue to build backlinks.

You must check out your competitors site meta tags and content in yahoo so you will get more idea from them. If you found same competitors as like Google in yahoo than you have to again optimize your meta tag and content of your website.

That's the thing. New threads, etc are showing up in Y!s index, but they ARE ALWAYS THE ARCHIVED VERSION, which is bugging the crap out of me. As far as placement, I'd like to rank well on Yahoo, but couldn't care less if I don't. I receive no traffic from Yahoo. Also, it seems Y!s search results are a bit bland, anyway. I searched for "the rogue forums," the name of my site. Don't even show up, and it's been around for 2 years.

So, again, any ideas as to why Yahoo's index only shows archived versions of my threads, even the brand new threads?

Ok, quick update... did an index search of my site:

    Google 16,300
    Yahoo 0
    MSN 301
    Alta Vista 59,500
    AlltheWeb 59,500

Any idea why my pages are not included in Yahoo?
