I see that the ads that run on my sites and others are simply Keyword Anchor Text Ads.

So why do I have to write a description when I am creating an ad:confused:

There is an option to show the description which some sites do but I think most just show the simple links.

So, the ad publisher choses whether, or not, to include a description. And 95% of publishers just go with Anchor only.

I don't know the percentage but basically yeah. When the publisher puts the code on their site they can choose the number of ads and the format.

That's right. On my site I see something like this

MPAA | Charity | San Francisco Hotels | Horoscopes | MPAA

My ads are displayed the same way.

    Not the format.
