Question about Wordpress themes

Hi Im a newbie in Wordpress. I downloaded WP themes and uploaded some into the themes folder. Why is it that some theme does not seem to work while some does?? btw, I'm using WP 2.0-15 @ plesk. please give me a clue on how to fix it. TIA

 

make sure the downloaded theme folder has no other sub folders than images. i.e if you upload the theme to the themes folder on your sever it must create the structure like this: ...wp-content/themes/<theme name>/files and the image dir.

 

thanks. i checked that but its still same. I have a theme named "peaceful rush" and it works well but i'd like to try other themes like that of Sodelicious Black (1.0 by Swapnil). I uploaded the theme files thru ftp but still, it doesn't seem to work.

 

Theme should be compatible with the version of WordPress you are using.

Have you tried upgrading your wordpress version to 2.5? That might help with the compatibility.

 

Yes make sure,the themes are compatible with your Wordpress version. BTW,why are you suing 2.3.0 now??
Already 3-4 versions has been upgraded after that. So better to use the latest version dude. Upgrade it and then you wont face any sort of problems.
