    you can use htaccess

    Redirect /blog/ http://www.mydomain.com

If your blog is new it may be better to reinstall it in the root (public_html or similar) You can export your posts and save the db and then reimport them back into the new installation

ok well i have a hosting account with hostgator and have multiple domains on this account. what i am trying to do is set up a blog on one of my domains but not on any of the others. so if i was to install wordpress in the root wouldnt that put wordpress on ALL of my domains?

how can I go about putting wordpress on just one of my domains? i cant seem to figure it out.

Are you using addon domains or a reseller account?

then it should be installed in the root folder of that particular domain -then when you go to that domain in a browser no subfolder should be needed for the url

I cant believe that no one else has repied to this thread
