Hello everybody! Let´s imagine that i want to rank for "cool games". To google, is there any difference between the domains coolgames.com and coolgames123.com, or in terms of seo their value are exactly the same? Are they equally relevant for the search "cool game"? Thank you
Based on experience, there is no difference, it is just the same work to rank for the keyword. I have bought and setup domains with the exact keyword and ones with letters or an extra word tagged on at the end or beginning, it doesn't make it any harder to rank for the desired keyword. You may even want to give .org a shot, i've only tried it on one site but it seemed to rank very fast.
Both is count search result, if you search cool games and your URL coolgames.com. if you search cool games and your domain name is coolgame123.com this also include the search result.
I do believe that the longer the domain, the less value will each letter contain since it's all more spread out.
I would like to suggest you coolgames.com why because as per keyword advertiser competition and global search volume as it is international keyword "cool games". coolgames dot com is better than to coolgames123 dot com
I had UgMart Uganda and uganda market ranked one after the other but they both are very different websites. Whta does that mean? I know they do look a bit similar. Bt it doesnt make sense.
The domain names which should be selected should be exact, people on the search engine just type the word they want to search and they get the list of it hence if one keeps the name coolgames123 or cool games it does not make a great difference in the search volume of the domain names
Having the keywords in your domain are going to provide a lot of added benefits. However, the shorter the URL but still relevant to your keywords the better the domain is. Therefore, coolgames.com is better than coolgames123.com If you do some research you will be able to do analysis on your competition. If you are trying to rank for "cool games" and coolgames.com ranks number 1 on google for that phrase and you plan to purchase a domain like coolgames123.com and try and overtake them, it is likely that it will be very challenging for you. If you own a domain like that and the keywords are worth it, the owner is probably smart enough to invest a lot of time into building backlinks and making sure no one is going to come along and overtake the position. However, when you target smaller niches like 800 - 5,000 searches per month niches, then you will be able to find keywords where the people who have the exact keyword phrase in their domain can still be overtaken. Do some research, invest in a keyword tool and you will be happy you did so. Manually using the google adwords keyword tool isn't going to show you the strength of your competition, you need a keyword tool like Micro Niche Finder for that.
I would like to recommend coolgames.com. Although there is not much difference in the two, domain names always need to be short. You can use a long one, but that will distract people and not easy to remember. Just remember that domain names are the shorter the better.
I would rather add a .org or .net extension before I added numbers or hyphens. If they weren't available I'd target a different domain altogether.
