I am starting a couple of new sites and I have a question about keyword selection: 1. How may keywords should one use? 2. Is it better to start out using a less popular keyword, with less competition? 3. Should all keywords be found in content? 4. Can keywords be different on each page, or should they be the same throughout the site? Thanks Brads
Ideal number might be 15 to 20 sets. Other SEO populate as many as 50 or higher as long as it is targeted ones. Yes. You should be starting small but aiming big. It's useless to use a competitive keyword, good ranking and position will never be an instant. I think you're referring to meta keywords, right from the start, isn't it? Big search engine now disregards the meta keywords and descriptions because of spamming. Keywords are suppose(and should be) to be found on title tags, url's, h1's, and other prominent spot in your codes. I advice to create a different set of keywords in each of your pages. The reason it is called "keywords" is that these words supposed to be the "key" to which your pages will be crawled by crawlers. The users then use the same keywords(because your keywords are targeted) to search in google, for example. Eventually, you'll be indexed, cached and ranked. It means that your keywords must be related to the page that contains it. My two cents worth...
