So I noticed on my stat counter stats that a majority of my visitors are spending less than 5 secs.
    Here is the pic:

I'm trying to make sense of this disclaimer from stat counter. I have stat counter on my main homepage, but I don't believe I can put it on another page using blogspot.

If first time visitors are spending less than 5 secs on my website, then what should I do?
Can you check out my blog and tell me if something is turning you off. Appreciate the help!

One popular and effective technique for reducing the bounce rate and increasing the time spent on the page (for blogs at least) is to include a section under the post with links to related content.  Most people are lazy and won't explore your site but if you put the related info right under their mouse then they'll check it out.

Use a plugin to add links to related posts after the post content.  A lot of people will click the links if you place them there but are too lazy to go through your archives.  Also, you can do roundup or recap posts where you rehash old content and link back to the posts in order to expose new readers to old content.
