Question about using credit card in online transaction

    Just want to ask if all hosting and registrar company reveals the whole credit card no. and expiration date on the admin control panel or just the last 4 digit of the credit card no.? or they do not reveal it at all? or they mask it like XXX-XXXXX-XXX something like that?

    Just want to ask this for security reason.

    First, off it's not a good idea to store card data in the first place.

    However, if they do decide to do it, and are PCI compliant which is a Visa/MasterCard regulation, they should only display the last 4 digits.

    jestep but there are some other companies that stores credit card information especially if you use that in your initial payment.

    They won't reveal credit card no on admin panel,
    and also while sending mail they will display last 4 digit only..

    AFAIK,hosting company cannot store any credit card information.
    When you initiate the payment,it will not go thru hosting company billing system.
    It will directly connect to the CC online processor.

    I asked my hosting company about this and they said they store it but with their customer consent and if ever they store it they can only see the last 4 digit of the credit card. They use it to bill their customer automatically.
