If I have a PR5 homepage, would it be possible to setup a 301. and transfer the PR5 to another (new) domain homepage?

Would the content need to be the same on each site, or is the PR transferred automatically from the old to the new?

i havent had a lot of luck with this. The serps seems to be affected and weight is given by the redirection but the new pr isnt what the old one was.

PR is not transfered. Look through Google FAQs.

Untrue. When I transferred from a .ws to a .com and added a .301 to the .ws, my PR4 was transferred to the .com in six days ...
