Question about tracking conversions

Hi, I'm very newbie in IM and for the moment I don't know much about tracking campaigns.

I know that you can track the keywords to know which ones are converting better. But my question is a different one.

Let's imagine that I'm running a campaign and I'm promoting it through PPC and through Organic SEO (for free). Is it possible to know the performance of both ways (PPC vs SEO)? I mean that for any conversion would I be able to know if it comes from PPC or from SEO?

    Thanks in advance

Yes, you can. Sign up for Google Analytics if you haven't already done so. Once the tracking code is installed on all pages of your site, the stats will show you the "paid" and "non-paid" organic visits to your site. If you also install the conversion code, then it'll show you the conversion success rate of both your ppc campaigns and organic results.
