I read that if you submit to Search Engines it takes longer to get listed as to if you just build up backlinks. Is this true Also what if you submitted to Search Engines already, but you are still doing the backlinks. Will the backlinks still help
Backlinks always help. It is better if search engines find you naturally but I would be overly concerned about this. Focus on building links!
I usually just do both. I submit my sitemap to google through webmaster tools, then i start building links. I dont see how either way can hurt you.
It usually won't take long to be indexed when you submit your site directly (in most cases). Of course exceptions would be sites that are spammy, have little content, are not finished (several "under construction" pages for example) and so forth.
Its true that submit take longer time than backlinks - personal experience. I don't submit site to Search engine.
There is no need to submit your site to search engines. As soon as you get one or two good backlinks (on any site that is crawled) the SEs will "see" your site
The general rule of thumb is - If the search engine can't find you, its not even worth submitting in it. But ya, there will be few exceptions as well like adult search engines where it is worth submitting. On the side note, Don't waste your time in registering to spammers like Jayde.
yeah in some way it's 1995 LOL ...just to not get paranoid about SE submission but it saves time at least ..don't know....
