Question about submitting to directories

I have a few different websites and have thought about submitting to paid directories but am nervous about it. Alot of these paid directories say that the fee is for them reviewing your site but does not guarantee submission. I would hate to throw away money only to be rejected. Any opinions on this?
    Thank you for your help,
    Judy

Lot of directories like my LinkForever and All4Seo guarantee 100% refund if not accepted.
It's clearly said in guidelines or on submission form.

What makes you think your directory might not be accepted in?

The only directory where I had a submission rejected was BOTW.org. The do offer you the option of submitting a different site when this happens.

Most directories I know of refund the payment when a submission is not accepted. You could always use the contact info and send an inquiry about the site you wish to submit.

Only reason I think sites get rejected on paid submissions, is because of very poor content, copy right, illegal issues, etc... where the editor doesn't want to give you a back link or doesn't want to have anything to do with you, even if you pay.

Then any serious directory owner will give a full refund if rejected.

read carefully and ask questions before you submit.
