Question about submitting articles

If I write an article related to my site and submit it to multiple directories will I get in trouble for having duplicate content on multiple sites? How many articles directories can I submit the same article to before I get into trouble with it?

    Thanks :D

Not if your site is indexed with that same content first.
However why don't you create a few new articles (or let someone else write them) so you can use them only for submitting to other sites and directories?

What are the free articles submitting directory?
And what is the advantage of submitting them ?

I am writing many medical/healthcare related articles but don't get about submitting them ( why should I submit if I get money by selling them ? )

There are many article directories where you can submit your articles to.
    Do a google search.

You'll get traffic and pagerank in return for a free article :D

Just write good "original articles" and spread them to as many websites as you can.

I woudn't worry about duplicate content - It's inevitabale and unavoidable.

The search engines will only penalize "blatant" duplicate content.

wow, submitting articles really makes a difference! I wrote one article and submitted it to about 15 different directories yesterday. Today I have gone from not ranking at all, to being 12 in google for my chosen keyword!
I couldn't believe it! Needless to say I'm gonna spend tomorrow writing lots more articles :)

Yes Sophie .....you will be amazed at what a "one good article" that is "strategically distributed" can do for you.

Imagine: If your article also lands on the hands of a marketer with an email list of 100, 000+. As a matter of fact some number in the millions!

Quality first....then the numbers will take care itself.

Create unique articles and submit them to articles directories, you can not get in trouble by doing this.

I create articles specifically for submitting that don't get posted on my site. I try to keep content that I do publish myself as exclusive and unique.

no, you won't get in trouble for duplicate content. however, the duplicate content may cause the pages on some article sites to not be indexed, and therefor you won't get a link. it isn't a question of being penalized, it's a matter of not being rewarded to quite the same extent.

that's assuming you're creating articles JUST for distribution and that they're not also on your site. if they're also on your site, it could complicate things, and I probably wouldn't bother.
