Hi! I am a newbie to Digital Point and WordPress. I've been working with WordPress.org for a few weeks and up to now, I have been able to find the answers to most all of my questions. But now, I am "stumped" and I need some help from the "pros." I recently created a WordPress website and sub-domain, to my primary domain and WordPress website. After building the sub-domain website, I began creating and publishing post to it. When I create these post and publish them to my sub-domain site, these same post shows up on my primary website on the front page and in the "recent posts" widget. Is there someway I can keep the content on my sub-domain site from showing up on my primary website? Also, the reason I am setting up these sub-domain sites is to, just for now, eliminate the cost of purchasing new domains. I need to keep these sub-domain sites totally independent of each other and my primary domain site. Or, would it be better if I would just bear the expense of purchasing individual domains?
Thank you for your response. I did set up 1 WordPress installation on the primary domain and I also setup a 2nd (separate) WordPress installation on the sub-domain. Since I setup 2 separate WordPress installations, I can't understand why my post to the sub-domain site is automatically showing up in the primary domain site. Any suggestions or reasons why? Footnote: I solved the problem of these post on my sub-domain site showing up on my front page of my primary domain site by, setting up my front page as a static page. But of course, I had to set up alternate page for all my post and still, as I expected, those post I made on my sub-domain site is still there. And, as I mentioned earlier, those same post also show up in the "recent post widget" of my primary site.
