I considering joining a stumble upon exchange at http://suexchange.com/. It appears like there is some kind of point system however I do not understand it. What are the advantages to getting points? Can this effect my link popularity and traffic. If so does the point system have anything to do with it? If so what?
did you not read the home page?? it explains it pretty well : "StumbleUpon Exchange (suexchange) is a new service that allows you to post your sites and have them stumbled by other StumbleUpon users. You earn "Points" by stumbling other user's sites and you use them by posting your site to be stumbled and having your own site stumbled. You can verify each stumble before you reward Points. You are given 3 Points on sign up, which you can use to post your site to be stumbled. Each stumble they give you cost a point, but once you verify they've stumbled your site and given them a Point back you get a Point. This way the stumbles keep coming as does the traffic!"
Looks great, same sort of thing as the link in my sig, whereas that has all social sites included in it.
Sounds like Entrecard, too much work for just quick stumbles. If you get quality traffic it would be good.
Stumbleupon has nothing to do with link popularity and search engine rankings... it can drive a lot of traffic toyour website though.... Check out this list of dofollow social media sites that can help your link popularity.
I spend some time on the site and understand everything but want to know when the option to give someone a point how do I know if they stumbled my sire/
