Question about SSL and Whois

    If I register a domain name with someone, can I buy SSL and the Whois privacy from another company? Basically I like JKA Hosting, but Namecheap has much better deals on SSL and Whois security.

    I think you can buy SSL from others but the domain privacy seems not possible from other company remaining with same registrar.

    whois has to be purchased by the original domain registrar, ssl doesn't matter

    Yes, whoisguard is very good and it's cheap, they also offer positive SSL for a good price (free for now). But you have to use your current domain registrar whois privacy. SSL doesn't matter.
