Question About Sponsored Ads At Google Adword

Discussion in 'Google AdWords' started by ninadbe, Sep 22, 2008.

At Google Adwords it displays Sponsored Ads in 2 Different format
    1) At Top above natural Search result with Yellowish Background
    2) At R.H.S(Right Hand Side) column with small width & white background.
At the moment my Sponsored Ad is appearing at Right Hand Side Column.
Does anyone have idea how it will appear at Top of natural search with yellow background?
I tried out by increasing PPC but not working.

There's a high Quality Score threshold to appear on the top of the search.

There certainly is! Go into your account, select a campaign and then select an ad group. On the keywords tab, click on the option to Customize Columns. You'll then see a Hide/Show drop down list and you can select Show Quality Score. You'll need to do this on each of your ad groups.

Increasing your bid won't help too much in getting that top spot although you must have a bid that is there or there about the top max cpc. It's mainly do with "quality score" which is Google for "relevance". Improve your landing page, improve your text ad and CTR (interelated).

The Top position is decided by Google and you don't have chance of any input regarding how to earn it.
It happens as what I suppose is a bonus if your AdWord campaign is a successful one -- good visit, click, and conversion figures -- compared with the others in the sidebar list of sponsored sites.
It seems unlikely to remain at the top, but will certainly be quite evident in the sidebar list.
I'm fortunate enough to keep seeing myself at the top, but I've yet to determine any pattern of frequency. It simply happens from time to time -- and I ain't complaining!
