Question about site traffic and adsense

I'm aware that having a lot of traffic is the key to earning with Adsense.

My question is: How much traffic (unique visitors) should my site have each day before I can even contemplate on applying for an Adsense account?

I know that a site can be approved even with low traffic. But I want to know how much traffic I should have daily to earn a decent income from Adsense.

I get no less than 50 unique visitors each day; a little over 100 on lucky days. If I will earn just cents each day, I will not bother my readers, few as they are, with ads.

My blog is about real estate and construction and turned one year old last month. I have over 30 posts so far (I'm not a prolific writer). How difficult do you guys think it will be for me to earn $100 or even just $50 a day with Adsense?

Am I expecting too much given that I have very low traffic?

I don't think you'll get much over $5-10 a day with 50 unique visitors per day... Keep building traffic though, it can't hurt to place a few subtle ads here and there.
