question about site re-design

I want to post a listing on a freelancer site for a job to re-design one of my websites (complete make-over), but don't know exactly what I should write. This is my first time ever doing such a thing. What are some suggestions on making the post for it? How should I start it, what key points should I discuss ect, ect. Any tips or examples would be greatly appriciated!

Try Google for website project specification or some variation. I saw several, that at first glance will provide you with the blanks to fill.

    cheers,

It is better to provide a link to a similar site and then explain in details what you want your own site to do or look like.

Just say what you want from the design, and remember, the more details you provide, the quicker the designer can do it and the better they can make it look. There's nothing worse than working for a client who doesn't know what they want, so you need to be clear in your mind what sort of designs you like, then just pass this info on :)
