Question about site map generation

    Hello all,

My site is hosted at Godaddy and just used their site map generation tool and am confused by the results. I have 39 pages on my site and the site map generator has generated a map with about 2700 urls. I see that it's returning urls like http://www.mysite.com/?gclid=CPvt5OvftY8CFShVYQodXhYNWQ. I don't know what the stuff after the ".com/" is. Is this what I should expect in a site map that I would submit to Google??

Any help or direction would be very much appreciated.

    Scott

Just remove the URLs you don't want, that simple, you can also set your sitemap generator to filter them out. I'd stick with the user created pages only, i'm not sure what those could be.

Thank you both! I tried one of the online generators and it worked great. iT just listed the pages in my site like I expected. I don't what all those 2000+ URLs that the Godaddy generator came up with are about.

    Cheers, Scott
