** Question about Signature Links **

I know that usually sig links go for at least $1 per 100 posts, but when you sell your sig links, do you charge extra for features such as adding color, bold, etc, as this makes the BBCode longer & you are only allowed up to 350 characters in total including BBCode here on DP.

Was wondering if you also limit the length of your sig so someone doesn't go crazy & post an absolutely long sig as well.

 

Yes, you should because the number of characters are limited. You can check some of my ads, where I always mentions Not more than 85 characters. For bold, color extra fee.

 

Well I think yes. I saw many threads where owner charge extra money for features such as adding color, bold and so and number of characters of siganture are limited here.

 

Like sukantab said, extra features do use extra BBCode but instead of charging extra for them I set a strict limit of 100 characters - that way everyone knows where they stand. Don't do what someone has just done to me this morning and only reveal you charge for extra features after you've accepted the winning bid - that's a bit misleading.

 

For me it doesn't really matter if the member who rents my signature requires some additional features so long as their reasonable. So I don't charge extra.

i have sold all 4 links of my signature, never talked about the colors! if there is space then i will try to get them the colors they want if not then i can't help! i try to keep things simple!

 

The most reasonable would be setting a 85 char limit, and don't charge extra money.

$1 extra for color?

 

Sounds reasonable... if you have atleast 1k posts though

 

For color I think you should add more... Because the number of chacters required are more. I think,
$1 extra for bold
$2 extra for color
