question about SEO for forum

Hello,

i don't know if this fits in this section or not, if not i am sorry .

okay here is my question i have a forum which have lots of pages like for example 20 K

if i put a keyword " food" and link it to my website . will it create any difference in google search engine for the keyword for food like my website will come up in google search engine ?

whats your suggestion regarding this ?

This might be impossible as only food is not a keyword........

 

i said for example. assume that i want to make it "best desi foods " or whatever, my main point is that will it help to bring up in google search engine ?

 

Off course it will help.
If Google is going to find sufficient content on your page
then it will be cached and it always displays the most relevant page in top serps

 

If you have found a key phrase that as lots of searches per month and you want to optimize for it then what I would do is create a post on your forum with the title (lets say its fresh organic foods) so that would be your post title, the post or article would obviously have to be about that subject with keyword the same and related, then you would get out there and build some incoming links with the anchor text the same "fresh organic foods"

of course thats the simple option, if you intend to build something more substantial or target a particular niche then presuming you had a good SEO plug-in for your forum that included cat, forum and sub forum in the URL then you could create a category "Organic Foods" with a forum "Grow Your Own Organic Foods" then do your SEO posts for example, "Growing organic potatoes" etc

Building sections of your forum in this way can be very effective for SEO, most forums with random posts, bad titles etc will never get good SERPS

you can use food as a keyword but try to make discussion on relevant forum.

 

FOA, Let me clear food is a keyword too, your way of linking is good, what you are doing is providing an Anchor text, that will be taken into consideration by Google but make sure that you provide this anchor text in external sites that suits your niche.

Usually we have to consider which keyword is searched by visitors. Normally a user will insert some long keyword in search box. Your forum must be limitless power in it if you want it to be on first result page.

 

Using food alone will not help but putting it together with that example of yours will help.
