Question about SEO and HTTPS

    I have a small question about SEO and HTTPS.

    I am planning to redirect all web traffic from HTTP to HTTPS for better security and user-end experience. I am just wondering, would this affect my SEO at all?

    Thanks for the help!

    From what i saw posted in googles own help forums about 6 months back.

    * Google doesn't seem to mind, and the usual redirection/site migration rules apply;
    * Yahoo is very hit-and-miss, and you cannot rely on Yahoo properly indexing your HTTPS site;
    * MSN/Live/ will not index HTTPS whatsoever.

    Another thing to keep in mind is that HTTPS creates a higher server load (on your side), so you may want to make sure that you have enough resources to handle search engine and user traffic on your server.

    Thanks for the reply.

    I will talk to my partner once he comes online and we will decide if we should redirect traffic.
