Question about Search Engine Submissions

    Hello,

A friend has a website that allows people to create their own web pages. The web pages are all hosted on one domain with their own directory.

    Urls look like: http://www.thedomain.com/folder12345

He wants to know what happens if the people submit their url to search engines. What do you guys think? Would this be a bad thing? Would search engines see that as spamming submissions? Would the domain get penalized?

What would be a better solution? Sub domains?

    Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

That would not be a spamming. They have pages to accept site submissions. However its not necessary. Search engines have bots which would find your site anyways.
