What, if anything do you do about affiliates and other sites taking my articles, placing them on their sites and: 1. deleting my links and author citations? What do you do to correct it? 2. Other sites reprinting my articles by copying the first sentence or two and then putting a link to my whole article on a link thru page? this deprives me of my article being on the first page of google, although I am on the first page only it is the other sites whose url is shown on page 1 and my article is on the second page with the link backs and attribution. Should I not get my page- where the article resides on the first page and cut out this secondary reprinter? Or should I shut up and sit down like my mother told me to do?
1. If sites are using your article on the condition that they include your contact info, then you should contact whomever is removing your links about it. If the person is non-responsive of tells you to go away, all you can do is take the person's advice or contact the ISP to see if they do anything. Tell the ISp the person is violating your copyright on the material. 2. If you are talking about mash-up sites, other than stepping up your game, there's nothing you can do about it, since the person posting links to your material is SEO'ing his stuff better than you are. Also, mashup-type sites are generally protected under fair use.
I didn't know they were called mash up sites and I figured my seo was not as good as theirs so I am working to resolve that right now. I appreciate the information a lot!!
