sorry but are 4-deep-links-anchored-direct-and-borderline-irrelevant-shameless-advertising to one's own site on an inner post (not starting post) accepted in this forums ?

The member is here from april 2007 with more than 1000 posts but that does not change the fact that it was just advertising ? I am very curious if I should report it ..

If you are a mod I could also PM you the url to take a look, I was planning to report it but I was not sure ...

Just report it if you think it breaks the rules. If it doesn't, no biggie, we'll move on.....

Looking at the rules its not clear if its allowed but if it was my forums I would not want it on a thread ... that is why I asked

Thanks katy I already reported it ... should have said "that is why I asked" not "that is why I am asking" (changed it though)

I was explaining the reason I posted my doubts in the first place

Issues like the one you raised would be looked at on a case by case basis, there is no universal rule.
