If have 2 sites A and B A - is a small site but indexed and with PR B- is a very large site, brand new, no PR If I link site A to B, till it gets indexed - then remove the links from A to B and instead replace them with links from B to A, will Google remember that site A used to link to site B and therefore consider them reciprocal links, or will it consider the links from site B to A to be one way?
Till the time Google again visits A and updates it cache, it will look like a recip. If google crawls A regularly, then the links to B go that very moment. In the long term, it becomes a one way in short.
I think you are worrying too much about how google handle reciprocal links. If I link to the BBC a bunch of times and then they suddenly link to me would that mean the link was devalued for being a reciprocal?
until your site A was crawled and seen that your site B wasn't there anymore then that will look like a one way link...
If site B's link pages are crawled, even if you remove it, your link will still appear except if Google updates backlinks again.
I don't know. That's a little strange situation and it's difficult to judge how does google do in this case.
