Question about Proxies - Geotargeting

A lot of people said that if you host a proxy it is best to block all countries like China, Iran, etc so your ads are worth more

But I see this in 2 ways:
1. Block all those countries, leave a few left. Make alot from adsense, less traffic
2. Dont block anything, have a lot of traffic, make less from adsense but since there is more traffic it should balance out?


What do you guys think? Pros and Cons of blocking the countries

 

It depend on your marketing strategy.
For me,i did not block china traffic coz i make something out of it.
I put some affiliate link into my proxy and i do generate some sales/week.
So,its all up to you,if you don't have any product to sell to them,then you should block it coz it only waste your bandwidth

 

May I ask what affiliate network your on and what your selling?
Also, how much does the sales through the affiliates make you each week?

Maybe you can give a link to your proxy so I can take a look?

Earnings: $0.18

It is up to you . For me, I don't block traffic from any places .
The netizen of China is over 200 million . I believe the market will become mature soon .

 

What affiliate network do you suggest?

Yeah its pretty bad, 90% of traffic is comming from Iran. Yesterday I got 3 clicks and only made 5 cents


I added Amazon affiliate stuff but i doubt anybody would even buy anything

Edit: oh and it used 1.5gb of bandwidth within 8 hours

 

I only block IRAN,
they don't click my ADS and hey have very cheap clicks.
Yet they consume my bandwidth the most.
I shouldn't allow them to use my proxy, it is January 2 and they almost ate 50% of my bandwidth darn

 

Don't block China! They give you decent earnings.

 

I am now only blocking Iran as they ate up like 2-5gb of bandwidth overnight each day. When they access the site all they get is amazon afiliate ads, the google ads are not displayed to them and the proxy will not work for them at all.

Basically, if your from Iran and go to my site you are greeted with ads

 

why it is best to block all countries like China, Iran, etc! China, the largest internet user country!
