I have a site with membership http://www.buxp.net I have a forum linked to it http://www.forum.buxp.info its a phpbb3 forum. Would it be possible to connect my membership database to the forum one so that everyone who signs up on my site, automatically gets a forum account? If anyone can do that, pm me and state your price. thanks
yes i have this for one of my sites i am working on but i have made it so they join the fourms then they can use there acount on the rest of the site. yes as long as you run the tables in the same database you can do this but it not an easy thing to do i done it with my own custom script it can be harder to do it with all ready made scripts. but yes this is possable to do
my forum & site are not running on the same db right now. I know it is possible but i dont know how thats why I want an experienced coder to work on it if possible. thanks for the info though
You have you add the user in the phpbb3 user table as well. But if you do not have captcha in phpbb3 , your forum will get spammed to death in few months.
