I hope this is the best place to put this question, if not, could a mod please move it to the appropriate forum? I'm in the process of redesigning my website with a new shopping cart. I sell "Skins" for various electronic devices and cell phones. I have currently 60 different products that all share the same designs. Currently my products are all listed in their own category and are all called <device name> :: <design name>. Ex: Apple iPhone 4 Cell Phone Skin :: Alphabet Soup. I was wondering if I could drop the whole device name (Apple iPhone 4 Cell Phone Skin : and just call my product the design name (Alphabet Soup) without search engines seeing all of my products as "duplicate products". Keep in mind I would then have 60 products called "Alphabet Soup" however they all would be in different categories on my website (Apple iPhone 4, Apple iPhone 3, Blackberry 8900, Motorola Droid, etc). Would this hurt my SEO if I dropped the device name from the product title? Would search engines (mainly google) recognize these as duplicate products and only index 1 product or none at all? Thank you for your time & expertise.
